Business Professionals

When people think of Aurizon they often think of our trains and train drivers – we’re proud of both.

However, a top 100 ASX-listed company managing assets of over $9 billion also requires forward thinking individuals with strong commercial leadership. Aurizon offers business professionals long term career growth with a focus on delivering world-class performance within Australia’s resource sector. Our people are rewarded with professional development, career progression and a competitive remuneration.

Transport Operations

Transport operations are the very heart of our business. Every day we move over 500,000 tonnes of freight across the nation with a fleet of approximately 600 active locomotives and over 15,000 wagons. We also operate off track with an expansive network of trucks and road vehicles.

Our reputation for delivery has cemented our position as the world’s largest transporter of coal from mine to port for export market.

Aurizon’s team of dedicated transport operators is entrusted with Australia’s wealth for international export and domestic delivery. Our operations are widespread and include a 2,670km rail network in central Queensland, coal and bulk operations in New South Wales as well as a growing iron ore business in Western Australia. Aurizon is Australia’s largest rail haulier of iron ore for export outside of Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

Engineering

Aurizon has a global reputation for a range of specialised engineering solutions. We have a large engineering team who are responsible for delivering solutions for:

  • Construction, design for earthworks, bridges and rail track services
  • Design, modification and maintenance of rollingstock fleet and specialist plant equipment
