Aurizon, Australia’s largest rail-based transport business, is bringing Christmas early to 22 local charities across the country with its Community Giving Fund grants.
Managing Director & CEO Andrew Harding said the Company’s Community Giving Fund enables Aurizon and its people to give back to the communities in which they live and work.
“We’re proud to be providing grants to local charities to support the important work they are doing in our communities,” Mr Harding said.
“The grants will provide an extra boost for local projects and initiatives that aim to improve community education, safety, environment and health and wellbeing.”
More than 300 charities and not-for-profit groups across Australia have received grants since the Fund was established six years ago.
Aurizon’s Community Giving Fund is held bi-annually and provides cash grants between $1,000 and $20,000.
The next round of applications for the Fund will open in March 2018.
