Experience

George was appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer and Group Executive Strategy in June 2020.

Prior to his appointment, George was Head of Strategy and Corporate Development where his team evaluated and executed major strategic reviews, structural changes, transactions and transformation programs for Aurizon.

He joined Aurizon in 2013 and has held roles accountable for strategy, M&A, business development and sustainability. Prior to joining Aurizon, George held roles in infrastructure and banking with KPMG and Suncorp.

George holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).
