Freight Operator Level 4
Location: Stuart
Join Aurizon and play a key role in keeping Australia's freight network moving. Based at our Stuart Terminal in Townsville, we're seeking safety-focused and reliable Operator to join our team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced operators who enjoy hands-on work, operating heavy lifting and terminal equipment, and working as part of a close-knit team in a dynamic rail and logistics environment. You'll be supported with ongoing training, development opportunities, and the chance to build a long-term career with one of Australia's leading transport and logistics companies.
Whether you're experienced in reach stackers or other heavy equipment, we want to hear from individuals who take pride in working safely, delivering for customers, and contributing to a high-performing team.
About the role:
- Operate medium/heavy Forklifts and Reach stacker, Provision, service, clean and perform lower-level maintenance on rolling stock.
- Serviceability checks on all machines.
- Operate and maintain heavy lifting equipment (exceeding 16 tonne) and other sundry terminal and site equipment.
About you:
- Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
- RS Class Drivers Licence (preferred).
- DG license would be highly regarded, but not essential (will be obtained in the course of employment).
- Forklift & Crane tickets.
- Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of rules and regulations of operations area, Workplace Health& Safety, and Dangerous Goods.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- A willingness to work day, afternoon & night shift (up to 12hr shifts) and including weekend work as required.
