Aurizon is seeking a Business Services Transformation & Travel Lead to join our Procurement division. This role is accountable for optimising, governing, and evolving Aurizon’s outsourced business services portfolio, while also owning the enterprise travel program end‑to‑end.
You will operate as a strategic partner to the business — driving performance, ensuring robust governance, delivering measurable outcomes, and continuously improving service delivery in line with Aurizon’s broader transformation objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic optimisation and governance of Aurizon’s outsourced business services operating model, ensuring alignment to organisational objectives and service standards.
- Own and manage Aurizon’s enterprise travel program, including Travel Management Company oversight, traveller experience, policy compliance, and cost optimisation.
- Build and maintain strong strategic supplier relationships, driving performance, value, innovation, and risk management across outsourced services.
- Establish and oversee robust governance frameworks, including SLAs, KPIs, reporting, and escalation pathways for business services and travel.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, improve end‑to‑end processes, and embed scalable, sustainable service delivery models.
- Lead complex transformation, improvement, and change initiatives, managing scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor and analyse performance against agreed targets, using data and insights to drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, service, and customer experience.
- Provide clear, timely reporting and recommendations to senior leaders on service performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure all services operate in line with contractual obligations, legislation, and Aurizon policies.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring a combination of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and hands‑on leadership:
- Bachelor of Hospitality, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience leading business services transformation, outsourcing, or Global Business Services (GBS) environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing strategic supplier relationships and governance frameworks.
- Experience owning or leading an enterprise travel program and/or working within travel, hospitality, or related service environments.
- Strong project and change management capability, with experience delivering complex initiatives.
- Highly analytical, with a strong focus on performance, data, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to influence and lead across senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with technologies and tools supporting outsourced services and business operations.
