Signal Electrician

About the role:

Aurizon is seeking a Signal Electrician based in Alice Springs to install, maintain and repair signalling and wayside equipment across the Central corridor. You will carry out inspections, fault finding, testing, commissioning and corrective maintenance to ensure the safe and reliable operation of rail infrastructure. The role includes some travel within the region and occasional call outs due to the critical nature of signalling assets. Full inhouse training toward the Cert IV Rail Signalling is available for suitable Electricians.

This position is based in Alice Springs, however DIDO from Port Augusta, Whyalla and surrounding areas may be considered. No interstate FIFO options are available currently.

About you:

You are a qualified Electrician with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work safely and independently across remote rail environments.

• Electrical trade qualification with relevant licence held to perform electrical work
• Strong problem solving and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently across remote locations
• Experience in rail or signalling is desirable but not required
• Competent interpreting technical drawings and procedures
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence (no restrictions) – essential
• Willingness to travel within the region and respond to call outs
