About the role:

We’re seeking safety-focused and reliable Rollingstock Maintainers (Special Purpose Non-Trade) to join our maintenance team at Dry Creek in Adelaide.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll support the upkeep, servicing, and repair of Aurizon’s growing wagon fleet. Working alongside qualified tradespeople, you’ll assist with inspections, mechanical tasks, job prep, train examinations and safe rollingstock movement within the yard and workshop.

This role operates on a day and afternoon shift roster, with occasional Saturday work (approx. four times per year) and paid overtime available.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assist with trouble shooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance procedures on operational components.
  • Perform general duties as directed by various Managers and Coordinators.
  • Utilise and input accurate data into information and maintenance management systems.
  • Assist with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the depot to enhance customer service.

About you:

We’re looking for practical, team-oriented individuals who want to grow their skills in a workshop environment.

  • Previous experience in mechanical, rail, or industrial settings (advantageous)
  • Trade qualification will be highly regarded, however not a requirement
  • Physically fit and able to meet rail medical requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety
